HENK is a fashion label that makes clothing and bags out of fabrics from the eighties and nineties.
All items are handpicked and handmade by Jasmijn Muskens,
making everything a unique, one of a kind piece.
HENK originated from both Jasmijn’s frustration over fast fashion and her love for old things.
While graduating from her previous studies in fashion,
Jasmijn stumbled across all these beautiful ‘forgotten’ fabrics, which she couldn’t use at the time.
She took them home anyway, because who knows,
maybe she could find a way for other vintagelovers to enjoy them.
And she did; in August 2014 she founded HENK
(lovingly named after her grandfather)
Sharing a love for graphic shapes, playful design and handmade products,
HENK and Studio Noortje did several collaborations.
After growing more enthusiastic of the work they made together,
they decided to make it something more permanent; in 2017 Sorrie was born!
Sorrie likes to do things a little bit different.
We make what we want, when we feel like it.
Sorrie works in small quantities and makes every item by hand.
All fabrics are printed ourselves. We laugh a lot and make mistakes.
This results in original clothing for unique people.
We’re not perfect but we think you’ll look perfect in it!
